I saw Mean Streets a few months ago and didn’t really get what all the hype was about.  I seemed like I’d seen the movie a hundred times before.  Thanks to this review, I guess I’m going to have to give it another chance.

It’s kind of a shame that so many classic movies have been copied (emulated?  ripped off?).  It becomes a challenge to appreciate those films for what they are and not be influenced by what has come since then.
